Erin has nearly two decades of experience in a virtually all types of bankruptcy matters and related litigation. Erin has experience with business reorganization and liquidation, representing companies and boards of directors in out of court restructurings as well as debtors, trustees, creditors’ committees, purchasers of assets and individual creditors in bankruptcy cases under both chapter 11 and chapter 7 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. Erin also has significant experience representing parties in all varieties of bankruptcy litigation matters, including the representation of chapter 7 trustees and litigation trusts in the prosecution of avoidance actions, fraudulent transfer claims, turnover, breach of fiduciary duty and other estate enlarging claims and defense of similar actions in bankruptcy court, federal court, and in state court. Erin represents interested parties and creditors in contested matters, such as objections to exemptions, motions to lift stay, and bankruptcy sales. Erin represents debtors and creditors in the prosecution and defense of challenges to the discharge and dischargeability of debts. Erin also has experience with bankruptcy appeals. In addition to bankruptcy related litigation, Erin also has experience handling general civil litigation matters, including but not limited to employment disputes (Fair Labor Standards Act), contract actions, breach of fiduciary duty, professional negligence, RICO and fraud claims.

Erin graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies and Spanish in May of 1998. Erin earned her J.D. at the University of Houston Law Center in May of 2001. While in law school, she was Chief Notes and Comments Editor of the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal, Vice President of the International Law Society, and completed the Mexican Legal Studies exchange program at La Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City. Erin is fluent in Spanish.

Erin was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2001 and is admitted to practice before all federal courts in the Texas and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Erin has also practiced as a visiting attorney before federal bankruptcy courts across the country.

Erin was selected as a Texas Super Lawyer in 2018 and 2019 and a Texas Rising Star from 2006-2016. Erin was inducted to the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum as well as the Texas Lawyer Verdict Hall of Fame in 2014. Erin has also been named a Top Lawyer by Houstonia Magazine in 2018 as well as other years.

Chris has over a decade of experience in all aspects of bankruptcy and related litigation. He also serves on the standing panel of chapter 7 trustees for the Southern District of Texas. Clients value Chris’s ability to tackle complex issues and resolve them effectively and efficiently. Chris is certified in business bankruptcy law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Chris has served as a fiduciary in dozens of bankruptcy cases. He has advised debtors, committees, equity holders and creditors in a full range of insolvency related matters, including out-of-court restructuring, chapter 5 avoidance actions, chapter 11 restructuring and chapter 7 liquidations. Chris is admitted to practice before all courts in Texas. He has also represented clients in bankruptcy courts and in federal appellate proceedings across the country.

Chris graduated from Duke Law School and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He clerked for the Hon. Allyson Duncan on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Before law school, he gained finance and accounting expertise as an investment banker in South America. He is fluent in Spanish.

Max has over ten years of experience in prosecuting and defending complex commercial litigation claims in both federal and state courts across the nation. Max has experience in handling a variety of commercial litigation claims, including, but not limited to, breach of contract, professional negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, as well as other business torts. He regularly handles matters for all types of fiduciaries, including the representation of chapter 7 trustees, plan administrators, receivers, and litigation trusts in the prosecution of fraudulent transfers, preferences, turnover actions, breach of fiduciary duty, and other claims specifically designed to enlarge estates for the benefit of their creditors. In addition to his litigation practice, Max represents chapter 7 trustees, providing general bankruptcy and litigation counsel in the administration of the bankruptcy estate. Max has been recognized by Texas Super Lawyers as a Rising Star from 2014 through 2019.

Max graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor in Business Administration and a Masters in Professional Accounting in 2002. After working as an auditor for a Big Four accounting firm, Max attended Texas Tech School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2006.

Max was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2006 and is admitted to practice before the Southern, Northern, and Western Districts of Texas. Max has also practiced as a visiting attorney before numerous courts across the nation and is admitted to practice in the Ninth and Second Circuit Court of Appeals as well as the Northern District of Illinois.
